MI Division ("we," "us," or "our") operates the MGRS Compass Camera & Offline Maps mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.
2. Information We Collect
a. Location Data
The App accesses your device's location services to provide core navigation, mapping, compass, coordinate display, and photo geotagging functionality. Location data is processed locally on your device to deliver these features. Your location coordinates may be shared with third-party mapping services (Mapbox and Google Places) solely to display maps and provide address search results. We do not store or transmit your location to our own servers.
3. Third-Party Services
The App integrates third-party services that may independently collect data in accordance with their own privacy policies. These services include:

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these third-party services. We are not responsible for the data practices of third-party services.
4. Information We Do Not Collect
The App does not collect or use:
- Personal information (name, email, phone number, or address)
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Analytics or usage tracking data
- Crash reports or diagnostics
- Cookies or web tracking technologies
The App does not require user accounts or registration.
5. How We Use Your Information
We use the information processed by the App to:
- Provide compass heading, coordinate display, and navigation features
- Display satellite, topographic, and standard maps
- Enable offline map downloads for use without internet
- Capture and store geotagged photos on your device
- Provide address search functionality
- Process in-app subscription purchases
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. Data may be shared only in the following limited circumstances:

7. Data Security
All data transmitted between the App and third-party services is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Most data processed by the App remains on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
All data processed by the App (including photos, preferences, saved locations, and offline maps) is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers. You can delete photos directly within the App's gallery. You can delete all locally stored App data at any time by clearing the App's data in your device settings or by uninstalling the App. Data collected by third-party services (Mapbox, Google) is retained according to their respective data retention policies.
9. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your personal data
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent

11. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability
The App and all information, content, and features are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MI Division disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MI Division shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your use or inability to use the App; (b) any unauthorized access to or use of your data; (c) any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in the App's content or functionality, including but not limited to GPS coordinates, compass readings, MGRS grid references, altitude measurements, navigation data, or map data; or (d) any other matter relating to the App.
The App is intended as a supplementary tool only and must not be relied upon as a primary source for navigation, positioning, or location-critical decisions. Users are solely responsible for verifying all information provided by the App through independent means.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
